When it comes to buying a home one of the most important pieces of the puzzle is your home loan. A bad loan officer can destroy all the hard work you and I put into finding your dream home. I have seen lenders lie about interest rates and promise impossible things and then at the last second when you are signing loan documents on the day you close change what they promised. I will do my best to keep this from happening to you. I have compiled a list of lender's I have worked with in the past that I know will treat you honest and fair. I personally know each and every one of these individuals and hold them all in the highest regards. Here are a few things to remember when searching for the right loan:

1) Don't give you social security number to a bunch of lenders when shopping interest rates. Each time your credit is run it hurts your credit score. It doesn't seem like much but if you let lender's pull your credit 10 times it can drop your score 10 or 20 points which could cost you thousands of dollars in the long run.

2) Always get a good faith estimate in writing. It won't guarantee the interest rate or terms but it at least gives you ammunition if the lender tries to change their promised rate or terms.

3) If it sounds too good to be true.it probably is. Loan rates are set by the Federal Government. If a lender promises you a rate that sounds too good to be true then it probably is and they will change that rate when you sign loan documents and you will be in a position where you either lose the house or take the higher rate. It is not a good place to be so avoid this at all costs by working with someone both you and I trust.
